1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using natural dyes, i.e., root dyes. For example, to obtain the color red, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns become brighter with use. On the other hand, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 225,000 hand knots were made in the weaving of this carpet.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Carpet cleaning varies according to the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this carpet is made from wool yarns dyed with root dyes, carpet shampoos or detergents containing chemicals should not be used. If any liquid spills on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, white bar soap should be lathered, and the area should be wiped with a cloth.
