The warp and weft of this rug are made of cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with root dyes, i.e., natural materials. For example, to obtain the color red, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called root-dyed yarns. Rugs made from root-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this rug is a top-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 1,125,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly rinsed with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth lathered with white bar soap.
