1- RUG FEATURES
The warp and weft of this rug are made of cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with Vegetable Dyeds, i.e., natural materials. For example, to obtain the red color, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this way are called Vegetable-dyed yarns. Rugs made from Vegetable-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this rug is a high-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Iranian rugs. Finally, approximately 1,125,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.

2-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Carpet cleaning varies depending on the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this rug is made of wool yarns dyed with Vegetable Dyeds, chemical-containing carpet shampoo or detergent should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth using lathered white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the rug. If the spilled liquid remains on the rug for a long time without being wiped, the stain penetrates the warp and becomes much more difficult to remove. Finally, we recommend that you have this rug washed by a professional carpet cleaner whom you trust and who specializes in hand-knotted rugs. If you live in Istanbul, you can contact us for carpet cleaning.
