1- RUG FEATURES
The warp and weft of this rug are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using natural Vegetable Dyeds. For example, to achieve the color red, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called Vegetable-dyed yarns. Rugs made from Vegetable-dyed yarns acquire a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this rug is of superior quality in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 1,000,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.

2- HISTORY OF THE RUG
Sultani rugs are an important part of the rich rug weaving tradition of the Ottoman Empire. These rugs were produced especially for use in Ottoman palaces and important venues during the 16th and 17th centuries. These rugs were woven with high-quality materials and very meticulous craftsmanship. Moreover, they were specifically produced for the residences and palace rooms of Ottoman imperial family members and high-ranking diplomats.
These rugs generally bear traces of the cultural and artistic traditions of the Ottoman Empire. Flowers, tree motifs, geometric patterns, and figurative symbols are among the motifs used in Sultani rugs. These motifs not only reflect the aesthetic value of the rug but also carry imprints from the period in which they were woven. Today, Sultani rugs are typically colorful and are produced in a style that complements both modern and classic furniture.
3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Carpet cleaning varies depending on the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this rug is made of wool yarns dyed with Vegetable Dyeds, carpet shampoos or detergents containing chemicals should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth using lathered white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the rug. If the spilled liquid remains on the rug for a long time without being wiped off, the stain will penetrate the warp and become much more difficult to remove.
