The warp and weft of this rug are made of cotton knots, New Zealand wool, and bamboo yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. Moreover, this rug is a high-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 750,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.
