1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely handmade using a spindle (kirman). The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using natural root dyes. For example, to achieve red, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this manner are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a high-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 300,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.
