1- RUG FEATURES

The warp and weft of this rug are cotton and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using natural dyes, i.e., natural materials. For example, to obtain the color red, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Rugs produced from madder-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. On the other hand, this rug is a high-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 325,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.

2- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Carpet cleaning varies according to the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this rug is made of wool yarns dyed with natural dyes, carpet shampoos or detergents containing chemicals should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly rinsed with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth using lathered white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the rug. If the spilled liquid remains on the rug for a long time without being wiped, the stain will penetrate the warp and become much more difficult to remove.
