1- FEATURES OF THE CARPET
The warp and weft of this carpet are made of cotton yarn. The yarns themselves are entirely hand-made using a natural dye. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using madder dyes, meaning natural materials. For example, to obtain the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, which takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Carpets made from madder-dyed yarns become more lustrous with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a high-quality carpet in terms of weaving density, woven using the Turkish knot technique, also known as the double knot technique. This feature makes it more durable and has a longer lifespan than Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 450,000 hand-knotted yarns were used in the weaving of this carpet.

2-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Carpet cleaning varies depending on the carpet's material and the type of dirt. Because this carpet is made from wool yarns dyed with natural dyes, chemical-containing carpet shampoos or detergents should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly rinsed with a paper towel, then lathered with white soap and wiped with a cloth. It's also important to remember that immediate action is crucial when spills occur. If the spilled liquid remains on the carpet for an extended period without being wiped, the stain will set into the warp and become much more difficult to remove. Finally, we recommend that you have this carpet cleaned by a professional carpet cleaner you trust who specializes in hand-woven carpet cleaning. If you live in Istanbul, please contact us for carpet cleaning.
