1- RUG FEATURES

The warp and weft of this rug are made of cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are entirely produced by hand using a kirman. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with madder, i.e., natural materials. For example, to obtain the color red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Rugs produced from madder-dyed yarns acquire a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this rug is a high-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 300,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.

If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth, lathering white bar soap.
