1- CARPET CHARACTERISTICS
The warp and weft of this rug are cotton, and the knots are wool and bamboo yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a spinning wheel. On the other hand, this rug is of superior quality in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, or double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 2,200,000 hand knots were made in the weaving of this rug.

2-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Carpet cleaning varies depending on the carpet material and the type of dirt. Chemical carpet shampoos or detergents should not be used to clean this carpet. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, first rinse the affected area thoroughly with a paper towel; then, lather a bar of white soap and wipe the area with a cloth. It is also important to remember that immediate action is crucial when something is spilled on the carpet. If the spilled liquid remains on the carpet for a long time without being wiped away, the stain will penetrate the warp and become much more difficult to remove. Finally, we recommend that you entrust the cleaning of this carpet to a professional carpet cleaner you trust who specializes in hand-woven carpets. If you reside in Istanbul, you can contact us for carpet cleaning services.
