1-RUG FEATURES
The warp and weft of this rug are cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with Vegetable Dyeds, meaning natural materials. For example, to achieve the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called Vegetable-dyed yarns. Rugs made from Vegetable-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this rug is a high-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 350,000 hand knots were made in the weaving of this rug.

2-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Rug cleaning varies depending on the rug's material and the type of dirt. Since this rug is made of wool yarns dyed with Vegetable Dyeds, carpet shampoo or detergent containing chemical substances should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth using lathered white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is crucial when something is spilled on the rug. If the spilled liquid remains on the rug for a long time without being wiped, the stain will seep into the warp and become much harder to remove. Finally, we recommend having this rug cleaned by a professional rug cleaner whom you trust and who cleans hand-woven rugs. If you reside in Istanbul, you can contact us for rug cleaning services.
