The warp and weft of this carpet are made of cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using natural root dyes. For example, to achieve the red color, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns become brighter with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a high-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 210,000 hand knots were made in the weaving of this carpet.

2-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, first thoroughly blot the affected area with a paper towel; then, lather white bar soap and wipe the affected area with a cloth.
