1-RUG FEATURES
The warp and weft of this rug are cotton and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are entirely handmade using a spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural dyes (root dyes). For example, to achieve red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this manner are called root-dyed yarns. Rugs made with root-dyed yarns become more lustrous with use. Moreover, this rug is a high-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven with a Turkish knot, also known as a double knot technique; this feature makes it more durable and gives it a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 900,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this rug.

2-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Rug cleaning varies depending on the material of the rug and the type of dirt. Since this rug is made from wool yarns dyed with natural dyes, rug shampoos or detergents containing chemicals should not be used. If any liquid spills on this rug, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth, lathering white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is very important when something spills on the rug. If the spilled liquid remains on the rug for a long time without being wiped, the stain penetrates the warp and becomes much harder to remove. Finally, we recommend having this rug cleaned by a professional rug cleaner whom you trust and who specializes in hand-knotted rugs.
