1- FEATURES OF THE RUG

The weft and warp knots of this rug are made of wool and cotton. The yarns are produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. Furthermore, this rug is a high-quality piece in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. Finally, approximately 1,500,000 hand knots have been tied in the weaving of this rug.

2- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Rug cleaning varies depending on the material of the rug and the type of dirt. No carpet shampoo or detergent containing chemicals should be used to clean this rug. If any liquid is spilled on this rug, the affected area should first be blotted thoroughly with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth using the lather of a white bar soap. It should also be kept in mind that immediate intervention is crucial when something is spilled on the rug. If the spilled liquid remains on the rug for a long time without being cleaned, the stain will penetrate the warp, making it much more difficult to remove. Finally, we recommend that you entrust the washing of this rug to a professional rug cleaner you trust who specializes in hand-woven rugs.
