1- CARPET FEATURES
The warp and weft knots of this carpet are made of wool and cotton. The yarns are also entirely hand-spun using a spindle. Furthermore, this carpet is a top-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 1,500,000 hand knots were used in the weaving of this carpet.

2- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Carpet cleaning varies depending on the carpet's material and the type of dirt. For cleaning this carpet, no carpet shampoo or detergent containing chemical substances should be used. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, a cloth should be used to wipe the area with lathered white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the carpet. If the spilled liquid remains on the carpet for a long time without being wiped, the stain penetrates the warp and becomes much more difficult to remove. Finally, we recommend entrusting the washing of this carpet to a professional carpet cleaner whom you trust and who specializes in hand-woven carpets. If you reside in Istanbul, you can contact us for carpet cleaning.
