1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely hand-spun using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with root dyes, meaning natural materials. For example, to obtain the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns become brighter with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, or double knot, technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 600,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, white bar soap should be lathered and wiped over the area with a cloth.
