1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also completely produced by hand using a kirman. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with madder, i.e., natural materials. For example, to obtain the color red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Carpets produced from madder-dyed yarns become brighter with use. On the other hand, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, in other words, the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 600,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Carpet cleaning varies depending on the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this carpet is made of wool yarns dyed with madder, carpet shampoo or detergent containing chemicals should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, a cloth should be used to wipe the area with lathered white bar soap. It should also be remembered that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the carpet.
