1- CARPET FEATURES

The weft and warp of this carpet are made of cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural dyes, also known as madder dyes. For example, to achieve the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Carpets made from madder-dyed yarns become brighter with use. On the other hand, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 225,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly rinsed with a paper towel; then, a cloth should be used to wipe the area by lathering white bar soap.
