1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with madder (root dye), meaning natural materials. For example, to obtain the color red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Carpets made from madder-dyed yarns become more lustrous with use. Moreover, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 450,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Carpet cleaning varies depending on the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this carpet is made from wool yarns dyed with madder (root dye), carpet shampoo or detergent containing chemical substances should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth using lathered white bar soap. It should also be noted that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the carpet. If the spilled liquid remains on the carpet without being wiped for a long time, the stain will penetrate the warp and become much more difficult to remove.
