1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed using natural materials, i.e., root dyes. For example, to obtain the color red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this manner are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 300,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Carpet cleaning varies depending on the material of the carpet and the type of dirt. Since this carpet is made from wool yarns dyed with root dyes, carpet shampoo or detergent containing chemical substances should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, first thoroughly dry the affected area with a paper towel; then, foam up white bar soap and wipe the area with a cloth.
