The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with madder, meaning natural materials. For example, to obtain the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Carpets produced from madder-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. On the other hand, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 1,000,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly rinsed with a paper towel; then, a cloth should be used to wipe the area with lathered white bar soap.
