1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with madder (kök boya), meaning natural materials. For example, to obtain the color red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Carpets made from madder-dyed yarns become brighter with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a high-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 1,000,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Carpet cleaning varies depending on the carpet's material and the type of dirt. Since this carpet is made of wool yarns dyed with madder, carpet shampoos or detergents containing chemicals should not be used. If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, first thoroughly blot the affected area with a paper towel; then, lather a bar of white soap and wipe the area with a cloth. It should also be remembered that immediate intervention is very important when something is spilled on the carpet.
