The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also entirely handmade using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural root dyes. For example, to achieve red, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this manner are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns become brighter with use. Furthermore, this carpet is of superior quality in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; this feature makes it more durable and gives it a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 750,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

3- CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

If any liquid spills on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, white bar soap should be lathered, and the area wiped with a cloth.
