The warp and weft of this rug are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with madder, meaning natural materials. For example, to achieve the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this way are called madder-dyed yarns. Rugs made from madder-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. On the other hand, this rug is a top-quality rug in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian rugs. 3-CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

If any liquid is spilled on this rug, first rinse the affected area thoroughly with a paper towel; then, lather white bar soap and wipe the area with a cloth.
