The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are also produced entirely by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural dyes (kök boya), meaning natural materials. For example, to achieve the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called natural-dyed yarns. Carpets made from natural-dyed yarns gain a brighter appearance with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a high-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven with the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 750,000 hand-tied knots were made in the weaving of this carpet.

If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, a white bar of soap should be lathered and the area wiped with a cloth.
