The warp and weft of this carpet are made of cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are entirely hand-spun using a spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural root dyes. For example, to achieve the color red, the wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petal; yarns dyed in this way are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns become brighter with use. Furthermore, this carpet is a top-quality carpet in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 1,250,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.

If any liquid is spilled on this carpet, the affected area should first be thoroughly blotted with a paper towel; then, the area should be wiped with a cloth lathered with white bar soap.
