1- CARPET FEATURES

The warp and weft of this carpet are cotton, and the knots are wool yarn. The yarns are entirely produced by hand using a drop spindle. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with root dyes, meaning natural materials. For example, to achieve the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes on the color of the rose petals; yarns dyed in this way are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made from root-dyed yarns appear brighter with use. Furthermore, this carpet is of superior quality in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot, also known as the double knot technique; thanks to this feature, it is more durable and has a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Finally, approximately 850,000 hand knots were tied in the weaving of this carpet.
